Mechanical Engineering Team Secures Runner-Up Position in M.P's First Drone Soccer League-   February 6-8, 2026

The first-ever Drone Soccer League of Madhya Pradesh was successfully organized at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur, bringing together young innovators and technology enthusiasts from across the state. The two-day event saw 32 teams showcase their technical expertise, creativity, and teamwork in the emerging field of drone technology. The competition aimed to introduce students to drone design, operation, electronics, control systems, and safe flying practices through a unique blend of technology and sport. Participants also received hands-on exposure to drone assembly and embedded systems.

Team "Generic" from IIITDM Jabalpur emerged as the winner of the tournament. Team "Eleven" from Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) secured the second position, while Team "Bhai Kal Pakka Uda" from IIITDM Jabalpur finished third. The outstanding performance of Team "Eleven" brought recognition to Jabalpur Engineering College. The team comprised Anupam Yadav, Vishal Garg, Firoz Khan, Ujjwal Kaushal, and Yash Tiwari, who demonstrated excellent technical skills and coordination throughout the event

The winning teams were awarded trophies, certificates, and cash prizes. The event provided a valuable platform for students to explore emerging technologies and gain practical experience in drone applications. The successful organization of the Drone Soccer League highlighted the growing interest of young engineers in advanced technologies and encouraged students to pursue innovation, research, and technological excellence.WhatsApp Image 2026 02 10 at 3.04.16 PM

 The presence of former Principal Dr P.K. Jhinge and other faculty members during the event greatly boosted the morale of the participants and motivated them to give their best performance. The continuous encouragement and support of Principal Dr Rajeev Chandak have played a significant role in nurturing students' confidence, enabling them to excel in such prestigious competitions. The team's success brought pride to the Department of Mechanical Engineering under the leadership of Dr B.K. Chourasia, Head of the Department
