Participation of the NCC Officer of JEC and the Students in the District Level Republic Day celebration under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on January 26, 2023

A district-level Republic Day celebration was held in Jabalpur at Garrison ground as the country celebrated its 74th Republic Day on 26 January 2023. On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh, Hon’ble chief minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan unfurled the national flag and took a team parade salute of 12 platoons. In his speech, he first greeted the people and then paid homage to the martyrs. The chief minister reiterated that his government is working to make Madhya Pradesh “self-reliant” on the lines of Prime Minister Modi’s “Aatmairbhar Bharat” vision.

The NCC officer of JEC, Prof Sunil Kumar Singh, was nominated by the Collector of Jabalpur as one of the panel’s three judges to assess the performance and decide the best-marching platoon in the Republic Day Parade at Garrison ground. To participate in this celebration, a special conveyance facility was given to the students by the principal, Dr P.K Jhinge , to facilitate them to attend this momentous occasion. Several students availed this provision and witnessed this magnificent celebration. The college Professors Dr Nitin Saxena and Dr Bhavna Singh accompanied them. Our college NCC cadet Senior Under Officer Dheerendra Kumar Gupta of Electronics and Telecommunication Department, NCC enrolment No MP19SDA548031, was recommended for Indian Military Academy, which indeed is a creditable achievement
