Sparking Student Entrepreneurship: Shark Tank Event at JEC on 12 February 2023:-

On February 12, 2023, the college's Jashan Auditorium hosted the Shark Tank event, which was organized by the Institute Innovation Council to cultivate an entrepreneurial culture within the college.Dr P.K. Jhinge, the principal of JEC, played a significant role in initiating the drive, while Dr Shailja Shukla, the President of the Institute Innovation Council, and Dr Bhavana Jharia, the Vice President of the Institute Innovation Council, were instrumental in leading the efforts to establish a dynamic start-up and entrepreneurial atmosphere within the college.

The programme commenced with an inspiring session by local entrepreneur, Ms Priyanshi Jain who started her start-up at the age of nineteen and gained recognition by winning an MTV dropout show. She provided valuable insights and encouraged the students to delve deep into theirentrepreneurial ventures.

The entire program was divided into three stages. In the first stage, the students registered their start-up ideas. In the second stage, a workshop was organized at the College Incubation Centre where the students presented their start-up ideas. In the third stage, the students submitted power point presentations of their ideas. A free pitching round was organised to move into the next round, allowing all teams to present their ideas. Shri Prashant Jha, an alumnus of the college and currently working as a data scientist at Design Point Analytics, was present during the event. He guided the students and taught them pitching techniques.

The final pitching round, held on March 14, 2023, at Jashan Auditorium, witnessed the active participation of thirteen teams. The esteemed jury panel, comprising Shri Abhishek Agrawal, Director of Time Institute, and Shri Sameer Garaywal, CEO of MOKSHA, diligently assessed the ideas put forth by the participants before rendering their final verdict. In conclusion, this program successfully provided a supportive environment and a robust platform for students to nurture and showcase their diverse talents.
