National Mathematics Day, December 22,2022

The Department of Applied Mathematics at JEC celebrated the birth anniversary of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on December 22, 2022. The Chief Guest of the function was Shri Rajesh Sthapak, Director of Vijayshree Group of Institute. The other invited dignitaries were Nita Sharma, State President Mahakoshal Vigyan Parishad and Er. Prabhat Dubey, State Secretary, Mahakoshal Vigyan Parishad. Prof. S.S Pandey, former Vice Chancellor of Vikram University, Ujjain, gave a keynote address and his talk covered mainly about how mathematics evolved and how it is being implemented in all walks of life. Dr Rajeev Chandak, Prof & Head, Department of Civil Engineering, motivated the students to enhance their knowledge in the field of mathematics. Dr Ashit Shukla, Prof & Head, Department of Applied Mathematics, gave a talk on the life history and research work of Shri Ramanujan. The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks given by Dr Mahima Thakur. The programme was compered by Dr O.P Chauhan. The coordinator of this function was Dr O.P Chauhan and Dr Gopal Meena.
