JEC Team Won Second Prize in District Level Role-Play Competition-January 20, 2023:

A three-day District Level Role-Play Competition was organized at Shri Ram College from 19-20 January 2023 to spread electoral literacy among the youth. This competition was conducted under the patronage of the Voter Awareness Committee of the District Election Office, Jabalpur. Six hundred fifty students from 63 colleges of the district participated in the event and gave excellent presentations, and disseminated the message on various issues and challenges related to elections in democratic countries. One hundred fifty nodal officers and mentor teachers accompanied their college team. JEC team, under the stewardship of Prof Pradeepti Lakra and Prof Sudeep Mohanay, participated in the competition. On the second day of the event, i.e. 19 January 2023, the chief guest of the function was Dr P.K Jhinge, Principal, JEC and Dr Kamal Kumar Kushwaha , Head, Department of Applied Physics, was the Special Guest. JEC team won the third prize and qualified for the finals.

On 20 January 2023, the District Level Role Play Competition Finals were held at Shri Ram College. Six Semi-finalist teams, including JEC, participated in the Finals of this prestigious competition. The district administration nominated National Level renowned theatre artists Ms Swati Dubey, Ms Pooja Kewat and Mr Santosh Rajput as the jury members to judge the role -plays. There was tough competition among the semi-finalists team. Shri Ram College Team won the first prize, JEC secured the second prize, and St. Aloysius College won the third prize. The chief guest of the function was Dr Arun Shukla, Divisional Coordinator. The chief guest honoured all the participants with certificates of excellence and the winners with trophies. He also appreciated the participants' efforts and firmly believed that all the teams played their roles with great conviction and dedication. Dr. Jhinge lauded the efforts of JEC team and appreciated the commendable work done by Prof Pradeepti Lakra and Prof Sudeep Mohanay
