• In the few decades the advent of Information Technology has revolutionized the whole global scenario. The world has become a global village. Realizing its importance Information Technology Department was inaugurated in 1999-2000 with the approval of AICTE. This course will provide quality engineers of international standards fired with imagination, vision and creativity.

• CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

• In the area of Information Technology the Govt. Of M.P. has decided to establish Centre of Excellence in Information Technology in collaboration with IBM. The basic purpose of establishing this centre is :
  1. To enable the students to acquire additional knowledge & to develop additional competencies so that they are able to work in globally competitive environment.
  2. To provide international standard certification in specified areas.
  3. To enhance the employment of the students.
  4. To provide learning opportunities in cutting edge technologies at an affordable subsidized rates.

• HIGHLIGHTS

• Keeping in pace with the technological development the institution has signed agreements with the following reputed computer institution :
  1. The college has signed an agreement MOU which comes under the wings of University Program of IBM. (India). This will provide new streams of world class curriculum in software engineering of IBM The department will also give training in DB2 and ‘WEBSPHERE’ trends.
  2. The Regional Networking Academy of Cisco will assist the students to gain knowledge of the most recent of Computer Networking.
  3. Sun Micro System which is first & foremost in ‘Java Engineering’, will provide training in this institution.
  4. An agreement has been signed with IBM-ACE which gives world wide employment oriented education. The specialist of IBM will revamp the existing curriculum so as to provide the students with internationally acknowledged degree.
  5. Efforts are being made to sign agreement with UNIT project of Texas Instruments. This will provide well-equipped DSP laboratory in the institution. Under this project the students will be given the most recent knowledge on the subject of DSP. The new building of the department has been inaugurated in July 2003. It has 2 air-conditioned computer rooms with the capacity of installing 100 computers.
